Coke vs. Coke Zero: Which Damages Your Teeth More?

Many people think that Coke Zero is harmless because it contains no sugar, but both Coke and Coke Zero can damage your teeth. Regular Coke contains sugar and acids. The sugar feeds bacteria in your mouth, which produce acids that can cause cavities. Both drinks also contain acids, such as phosphoric acid, that can wear away tooth enamel over time. While Coke Zero has little or no sugar and may cause fewer cavities, it is still acidic and can erode enamel. Because regular Coke contains both sugar and acid, it is generally considered more harmful to teeth than Coke Zero. Both still have high risk of causing dental erosion.
